Canoeing is not only for leisure, but it also has several benefits to the body. One of these benefits is that it helps to improve body fitness, strength and flexibility. The continuous act of paddling as you cruise through the water helps to tone muscles. People say that canoeing is the best alternative to going to the gym for your work out.

People who engage in this activity have reported cases of getting the body to relax and the mind as well. This is achieved when one engages in the activity for that particular reason. Slowly paddling your canoe across calm waters can be very relaxing to the mind.

Everyone should at one point in their life engage in canoeing. This is because the activity helps one build their confidence, they are educative and one is introduced to new perspectives as you have to think smart and fast if you come upon any barrier.
