Life happens, as cliche as it may sound it s true. And sometimes when life does happens it gives you lemons other times it lays people off. The reality of the situation is that having things happen to you that are beyond your control is unfortunate but it doesn t mean that it s the end of the road. And therefore, it should be considered as a temporary solution, that is made possible by the government and your previous employer in ensuring that you as an employee have some leeway in making the goal of obtaining a new job attainable.

Many countries could learn a thing or too from those countries with employment insurance as part of the legislation and run correctly, as it gives those members of society a second chance financially.
